I've brought my sedum in for the winter, they have been in planters all summer.

One, autumn splendor, the stems that have bloomed are dying off, but there is new growth coming up from below. Which i assume is ok, do you think i could snip off the dying stems?

The other is doing wondefully and i have noticed that there are some white "root" like thingies coming off of the stems. does this mean i could propagate it into another pot?

Yes!! In fact with these you don't even need the roots to propagate more--just stick cuttings into the soil. I don't have Autumn Splendor--is this it in the photo?? I have Autumn Joy, Autumn Fire and Stardust. And a couple others--much smaller and vine like that I do not know the names of. Bonnie

I think the one I have is called neon...and I have cutting's with roots in water on my window sils and they proable will stay there until spring when I can plant them outdoors...So if you want more plants just cut a few branches and remove lower leaves and put into water..within a week they should have roots on them.
