What is the small patch of grey fuzz that keeps coming up in the soil of my Peace Lily? It's not a lot but I notice it. None of the other plants has it; at least not yet; I observe them every day, and water with only water that has been out for 24 hours or longer.

It is probably mold. It won't damage the plant. It is an indication that the soil is not sterile or that some kind of food substance was added to the soil.

You can scrape it off repeatedly and eventually it may go away. You can also let the plant dry out a bit more before watering.
