How about using strips of old pantyhose to tie the stems?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

i am so persistant to get the results that i want..and i force it to. i wrap, attach, weave my vines so that they go exactly how i want them to. i am carful when using twist tyes that i remove them after they are no longer needed so i dont choke them out.

by the way..i ADORE jasmine..great choice! i worked on this garden for an old greek man..and we trained a jasmine around his trellis, along with fabulous clematis and passiflora...ummm...very delicatly elegant!

enjoy!
