Of course the noodles haha
1 small container of Ricotta cheese
1/4 cup of Parmasian cheese
2 cups Mozerella cheese Save a bit for the top..
2 eggs
1 lb of ground beef
easy method 1 jar of barilla baking sauce
or make your own favorite pasta sauce
I like to add
half cup chopped onions
half cup chopped bell peppers
Mix the cheeses together with the eggs.. set aside.
Cook beef drain and add onions and peppers add pasta sauce.. let all cook down till it is nice and thick.. While doing this boil the noodles and if desired you could fry up some tomatoes to go in one of the layers..
get a 9x13 pan .. spread a bit of the sauce on the bottom so the noodles don't stick and start layering noodles cheese and meat sauce.. cook at 350 covered for 45 minutes remove cover and cook 15 more minutes .. let sit for 10 minutes slice and serve!~!

One thing I'd add is get the oven ready noodles if you can find them! It cuts out a lot of hassle with cooking noodles in a pot....and I always double up on the cheese...all of it actually, whatever my recipe called for I now use double that! [Big Grin]

Now my stomach is growling so bad I can't stand it! Lasagna is my fav!

It really is good.. and the egg holds it all togther..
Loz I have never had good luck with those noodles what kind do you use.. Always seems like it is just not cooked very well.. They do a great job of absorbing the flavor and extra juice but still seem a bit juicy

I use the kind in the red white and blue box...whatever that is! [Big Grin] I've never had any problems with them myself...if anything I've had problems cooking noodles in a pot--with them sticking together or to the pan, and getting rubbery....plus I like any way that's faster and easier.... I'd make some but I don't have all the ingredients.... [Eek!]

I usually get all the ingrediants and mix them together in mass quantities and freeze the cheese mix!!
I will try and find the red white and blue [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

When I make Lasgna I make it 3 different ways
in the same pan...

On one side of the pan, I make the lasgna with all the ingredients, just more meat and less cheese, the strip in the middle is pretty much right the way the recipe gives you and on the other side, is strictly cheese and sauce and noodles..
So, everyone gets it how they like it....
