I had gotton some from my neighbor.she just stuck her hand in container and pulled me a section up.was about this time last year.mine looks like one has a double crown like looks like another plant beside it.I imagine if moved its half would just generate another eventually.

How to probagate them????????

Just let them go to seed, JUST ONCE,
and you'll never get rid of them!

I love them when they first come up,
they are so soft and fuzzy and gray/white
color, nice contrast....

And I love the soft pastel pink of the flowers,
the bees absolutely LOVE THEM!!!

But after they go to seed, they get ugly and brown and the seed goes everywhere..
I even have them popping up in the lawn!!!

I still keep them, let them flower, but I pull them a little eariler now!!! [grin] [flower] [flower] [flower] [flower]

You can just pull them up, and pull them apart and re~plant...They're pretty gosh darn hardy!!

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll not let it go to seed as I don't want anything too invasive where it is planted.

I didn't know they reseeded! I've used them in my landscaping and they have all turned brown and dead looking. I thought they were history...but now hmmm...maybe they'll pop up again [flower]

Thanks!!!

Someone sent me some seed year before last and it bloomed this year. I've got seed if anyone wants some.

Cricket,
They're not really a bad invasive type plant,
and very easy to pull out where you don't want them.
Maybe try half and half and see how you like them.

******Gardenmom,
The only reason I could think of if they don't reseed is, a mulch sometimes has a seed~herbaside on them which prevents seeds from sprouting!!!

But if the flower head dries up and is brown there's bound to be seeds in those heads!!!
