i wish to grow vft indoors with no window, office. I need to know can i grow it with a grow light, if so what watt. I also do not want it in a terrarium. How do i pot it. please help

I have mine sitting in a tray with pebbles and water in it. You can grow it with a grow light but I don't know what watt to use.

It needs very bright light, probably 100 watt flourescent about 4-6 inches above the plant, NOT incandesent! Also these are outdoor plants and NEED to have dormancy in the winter, they will not survive well indoors.

I heard that you can fool a vft into dormancy by keeping it somewhat moist and putting it in your refigerator
