Rescued these from Wal-Mart'S Dumpster pile thanks to a friend that save stuff like this for me got it free.
This first one is going to live with Diane she said she had room for it also some starts with it.

Pieced together plant orange and red

Wow, Jimmy! Now you're rescuing plants BESIDES critters! What a guy! [kissies]

I always look on Walmart's "abused plant" rack, & have revived many in the past year... but that Cristmas cactus looks like it got run over by a forklift!

I can really see the orange in this pic Jimmy I really like that color almost like a dark apricot! Really cool color!!!

Those never made it to a dumpster the manager saves stuff like this for me. Hopefully have some wooden display shelves they are going to throw away. Wish they would throw away a green house. [Big Grin]

another rescuer?? thought i was the only nuts one.lol...my hubby thinks im nuts. until time goes by and the rescues are becoming a small forest.......lol

When I got those Christmas cactus last week I gave Diane the only whole one I took a bunch of starts that were beginning to bud just to see if I could get them to root never thinking they would bloom take a look at this
Blooming starts
I thought I read here somewhere if you even repot them while they are putting on buds they would not bloom but would drop the blooms. This is the color I gave Diane

that's a really beautiful peachy color too!!! i've not seen that color before.

i was out the other night - hoping to find the white-flower variety. no luck...it's early yet and i may come across something before long!

Thanks Jimmy!!! This is my first Large Christmas cacatus I just love the apricot color!!!..
Gardenmom gave me starts a few months ago hopefully this time next year I'll have two fabulous Christmas cactus!!

Thanks everyone I was hopping to get them to root but the blooms are an unexpected and very welcome sight to see. Basically I just mixed some cactus soil with the Miraclegro potting soil and Pearlite. stuck them in placed on my table because I don't have room anywhere else. Also put some pink starts in with these they didn't drop the blooms but not doing near as well as this and they are in same pot.
