Hi all,

I have a question not only are the leaves all standing straight up on the plant but they are also starting to turn brown and curl up. What is this a sign of please. I don't want it to become a casualty of my ignorance if I can avoid it. I water it about once a week and it is in direct light in an east facing window. It has been doing fine there I thought.

Hi

I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to bump your question up a bit. I have three kalanchoes. If this happens to any of them, I'd like to know in advance what to do for them.

Maybe too dry? I don't know kalanchoes, but when aloe get very dry the leaves curl from side to side, stand up a bit, and die back at the tips. This protects the center of the plant from excessive sun/wind which would dry it more, and funnels what rain may fall to where the roots are still alive. Like I said, I don't know kalancho, but you might try a little more water...

yes, i think it's too dry. do deep waterings - give some & let it soak in and then give some more and let it soak in. doing that weekly should be more than enough.

I had the same thing happen to one of mine and I will admit I hadn't been watering it like I should.
