Gold Tooth Aloe - Winter grower?

Hello

I'm going to have a gold tooth (Mitriformis?) aloe soon. I've read that it's a winter grower. Does that mean I should water it a little more than I would my aloe vera in the winter? But less than my aloe vera in the summer?

Please help.
