I have an angel wing begonia that has never flowered. I got it originally by taking a cutting from a plant in the greenhouse of the community college where I got my horticulture degree. The mother plant bloomed every year. I've had it sitting in a north window all these years till this past winter when I read it preferred an east or west window. Now I have it in one of my east windows. I cut it way back and started fertilizing it with Omega 1-5-5 back in February or so. The foliage looks great, but still no blooms.

Hmz well it is blooming season right now i beleive. Mine's shooting em up all over the place. I love my angel wing ^.^ the flowers fall off a lot, and aren't as deep a shade of pink as yours, but they're still pretty [Smile]

I gotta update my pictures sometime!

ok blooming issues....
maybe cause low nitrogen fertilizer
maybe pot size...what size pot is it in?if pot is too small won;t flower.

Flowers coloring.this is what I have noticed.light is different in winter and so is my flowers color are pale pink then.In winter they get bathroom east lighting.outdoors is NE lighting and it does get some sun but not hottest part of day.It does get watered daily and fertilized weekly...almost...In winter when leaf color goes to fadeing will toss it some fertilizer, otherwise it rests then for me

Flowers falling off [thinker] I had to think a bit and maybe humidity??I have so much of it& well the flowers don't fall off unless wind or plain old age or maybe pot bound cause would fight for water stressing plant& stress could also....maybe someone will pop in like Bill.
jiffy...make sure I see your pics when ya do!

Njoynit,
What a beautiful plant,
I can't believe how it's that tall! WOW!!!!

Beautiful flowers tooooooooo!
I can't believe the size of the flowers!

I used to have one back when I had a bunch of house plants.... mine got powdery mildew, but I learned how to grow roots with duct~tape with that plant!

Thanks for sharing those!

Begonias are beautiful and now I know how to get it to bloom again! Thanks [grin]

Through some fluke of luck my angel wing bloomed in its second year, and hasn't since (going on five years.) Its huge, but I've had it in the wrong light...

If you have a fish tank they really love [Love] the water that you take out during a cleaning (as long as you havent been medicating your fish.)
