its gonna be at the Dallas Market Hall... on N. Stemmons (I-35) and Wycliff, next to the World Trade Center... just a few minutes west of Down town Dallas...
by Aaron D on February 26, 2006 02:35 AM
know where thats at? the societies attending (for sure)Dallas Fern Society, Dallas Cactus Society (My favorite), Greater Dallas/ Ft. Worth Bromeliad Society (I will be running this booth), and the Very popular Dallas Orchid Society... which always has a crowd around the booth... door open at 2p.m. Friday March 3rd... get there quick all the good plants will disappear on the first day...
by Aaron D on February 26, 2006 02:46 AM
there will always be more societies there... the Gardening section will be at the very back of the Market Hall under the 'balcony'/ 'cafeteria' thingy [Smile] ... that is IF the owners dont split us up again and scatter us about the giant sales floor... [Frown] usually where next to the pet section near the Humane society and the AWESOME company that brings their fantastic parrots and owls to show...

Parking is free... but... tickets are $8 its usually very slow on Friday so theres good parking spots. if not there is extra parking in the parking garage behind the Market Hall.

if so go on friday when the doors open... there will be good parking and not so much of a crowd... and leave by 4pm before the afternoon rush, saturday and sunday will be almost impossible, even for a exhibitor like me...
by Aaron D on February 26, 2006 11:47 AM
But you have to go... the Dallas Cactus Society has some very rare and interesting plants for sale last year i forgot to buy a Haworthia Truncata ("cut window plant") [Frown] this year i plan on buying this plant for sure... [Smile] and the Bromeliad society that i am a part of last year had some very intersting Dyckias (succulent desert Bromeliads) that any cactus/ succulent enthusiast must have...
by weezie13 on February 26, 2006 12:01 PM

Because I'm a 'Hugger I gave him a hug not realizing I'd forgot to introduce my self Poor Fella probably wondered for a second Who IS this lady? [nutz] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Very Pleasant young man and well versed in his area It's great to see a young person so knowledgable and has a love for plants Lets hope the next generation has such passion for plants and flowers and nature as we all do!!
