I planted a new Pontentilla about a month ago and it was blooming when I planted it. It seems to have finished blooming and has gone to seed. It was supposed to bloom all summer. What could be the reason for this? I have a yellow Pontentilla that I've had for years and it flowers continually. Any help would be appreciated.

Being newly planted, I'm guessing it has gone into a root growth phase. Plants tend to grow roots and top growth in alternate periods. Once it becomes more established, it should settle into the bloom period your used to with your other potentilla.
