Has anyone grown pear tree from seeds? I was in a park yesterday and there was a grove of (wild?) pear trees with small pears all over the ground. I picked up a few and brought them home, and I wanted to try to grow one from seed. Is there any point in trying? [wavey]

Tammy (TK Hooper) sent me some Asian Pear seeds and I planted them this spring. 2 sprouted, but only one survived. It is now about 1 foot tall, so yes, go ahead and give it a try.
