Welcome home worms

I was shifting somemore of the compost today and it's so good to see big fat worms around the garden now days. Last year I had grubs but no worms this year it is totally reversed. I'm seeing about 2 earth worms per cubic foot. I don't know if that's the amount that should be there but I know its more than none which is what I started with.

yay! i was digging up some soil to plant some flowers today- only about 1 ft by 3 ft space and as i was digging and turning i found maybe 10 grubs YUCK! but i found probably 20 little worms. only about 2 were good size BUT i handed them over to the kids and told them to throw the worms in my veggie garden!

wow that's a bunch of worms. Good going. I don't think I've ever seen that many in one spot. But I bought some soil amendment so maybe. Can't hurt to hope.
