i pulled a cabbage today, and guessed the weight at 20lb.
but how do you weigh them to get to there true weight [dunno]
do you keep the outer leafs n stalk, cut the stalk [dunno]

or do you do what i did and strip it all back to just the heart, and weigh the bits the slugs didnt get to, only 9 1/2 lb [Eek!]

Hi Mark,
Thats one good size cabbage what variety of seed did you grow it from? A friend of mine came over last year and borought a package of cabbage seeds back to Canada He gave me 6 plants,2 of which got me 1st place in the local show but he won't tell me the name of them. Maybe I can get them over here,we do get a lot of your seeds.

they were the last of my marvellon seeds, i cant get them now [Mad] dont know why they have been stopped?
ive managed to grow the biggest cabbage 3 years in a row over the allotment!
its a shame because they eat well too.
the ones ive got to replace them are called brigadier, said to go upto 6.5kgs (14lbs).
they come from T&M.
so why wont he tell you the name? or do you compete
