Breakfast Casserole can be prepared the night before. [clappy]

5 slices white bread, cubed
5 whole eggs
1 cup half and half cream (or whole milk)
1 cup ham chunks or 5 cooked sausage patties, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons melted butter or fat from frying meat

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Thoroughly combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl. Add melted fat and stir through.

Spread in a greased 9 x 13 greased baking dish or pan. Bake in preheated 350° F oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving.

May be topped with Cheddar cheese 5 minutes before removing from oven, if desired.

Serves: 5 - 6 people. [muggs]

Thank you for the Casserole recipe. Can I cut the ingredients for a smaller portion? Some recipes can't be cut down so I wanted to ask.
