Boy oh boy! I collected the seeds from the pod of my daylily and put it in the fridge in a plastic bag with a little water for 3 weeks, then I planted it in a small pot of potting soil and in about 2 or 3 weeks they sprouted! [clappy] Well 3 out of four pots have sprouted I am so excited. I have more in the fridge. I was beginning to give up thinking it wasn't going to work, but it did. [clappy] I LOVE daylilies. [Love] They are so tough.

Amazing in such a short amout of time. What are you going to do with them over the winter?

That's so great, gailo!!!
I wonder if that would work for canna lilies - they never did sprout for me this year.

I don't know about canna lilies except they used to grow really well where I used to live (zone 9). Over winter, hmm, I haven't gotten that far but I have some grow lights. I have more seeds too. I guess I could plant the daylilies in the ground and mulch them real well.
