Does anyone know of an organic way of getting rid of these pests? [shocked]

Hi Duckie:) I found this on the web...have never had asparagus bettles, so I have never tried to be rid of them.

quote:
Derris dust or sprays are effective organic insecticides for this pest. They are derived from plants and are acceptable to organic growers.
It came from this website:

I use Pyola from Gardens Alive
It's made from pyrethrum (from pyrethrum daisies) and canola oil. You can spray it on the asparagus beetles and then stand there and watch them die, it's so quick.

I've also tried covering with row cover, but that's kind of a pain when you have to pick every day.
