ok was cleaning my pond yesterday.Got the crap scared outta me a lil snake poked his head up at me [scaredy] I don't CARE for snakes.I'm really really hopeing he is a single male cause the females are breeding right now and hatch80+ snake babies
he looks like this(site has bad pic scroll down fr english)
http://www.bn-hof.de/~rattau/nitae.htm
http://www.thamnophis.com/nitae.htm

I've looked at TX herp site and don't show my snake.i tried to flood him out and he looked at from under waterfall like what did I think I was doing.I'll try to get a better picture.i prefer to be able to see where he's at while finishing cleaning pond cause I AM NOT leaning my arm down into water for leaves& muck and have him HOP DOWN my shirt.I would be the naked woman running through the woods screaming. How do I serve an eviction notice to it?I really really hope its a him.I had to shoot a timber rattler last year and she had 8 babies about 12 inches long.my neghbors dogs just would NOT shut up.dead snake shut them up.

I'll check back latter.I'd shoot him but that would put a hole in my preformed liner(a#2 reason to not use pre frmed liner.....snake home.
my toads& froggys seem to be fine but never bothered too count them but they hopped over his head and he did notheing, but he was busy watching me& me him as cooped crap outta pond.
((I knew would see one soon, they wake in febuary...guess they were"rained in" [Big Grin] Is there a snakeumator in the house.HE HEE)

Oh you lucky thing!!! I used to have snakes as a kid. We had one 2 years ago a black snake that get 8 feet long. Not very common because we are considered in the city.

LOL! Luckily this one was just visiting because the pond he was swimming in was just 2 feet by 4 feet.

We usually have a black snake hanging around here. He watches me when I work in the yard and I watch him watch me.

Njoynit,

You crack me up! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] I can almost picture you in your pj's with workboots and a shotgun on the hunt! LOL!! I'm sorry...but that's the picture I got of ya in my mind!!!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [kissies]

I was surprised with a family of snakes living in my stone wall last spring. It was surprising to stumble across him...her...it. I am just waiting for him to *surprise* me again with his presence while gardening. I hope SHE doesn't surprise me with a big snakey family. [shocked] [scaredy]

hey U should see me check on him to see if is under pond waterfall form...I knock 1st...say"anyone home today?"I anounce that i'm checking water pump in pond.haven't seen him/it/she for 2 days.I need to make a welcome mat for him and a NO SEX ALLOWED sign [Big Grin] .i still hear my toad and frogs and have tried to get a count seems is possibly 6 lil baby frogs that hop in& out of water all the time.my toad I rescued from snake in the fall(has scar on leg and has reddish mark on back where snakes teeth were in at)and a tree frog(weird one fellow he clings to rock and sides and stuff)he's gray& the last time I held him his back feet were slimey on the bottom.
oh yeah we were talking snake.....I won't shoot this one.I'm going to try to leave non poisonous snakes alone.but 1st poisonous one I see get s bullets& will become a possible meal.sis gave me 4 recipies to try. [perplexed]
