I am going to grow a potted vegeatble garden on a balcony at my house. I was first wondering if you knew any websites i could go to to get the analysis of nutrients that each vegetable plant needs, so i can grow it with the right miracle-gro plant feed. Also I was wondering when i should start planting, i am probably going to buy seedlings, that are growing outdoors already, so what vegetables and fruits that dont grow on trees grow best in Chalmette, LA (near New Orleans, LA)? When should i plant them, right now the lows are in the lower 60's and the highs are in the mid-70's.

Any information is useful.

here is a website that may give you some of the information you need.

vegtable information

I would also look up vertical gardening. Since that can help with limited space issues. It looks like you are in zone 8b or 9a.

In the case of tomatoes I know they have varieties that are specially adapted to containers and you might want to look at that.

Hope you enjoy your garden.
