new to fruit/veg gardening need advice

Hi, I am not new to gardening - just new to fruit/veg gardening- I am in Zone 9 in Louisiana and I want to plant strawberries, muscadine grapes,Watermelons and tomatoes and lots of other things but I want to start small, when do I plant and which are the best varieties to grow??

I can help a wee~bit with the tomato varieties...
But it's really a personal choice and the
FUN OF TRYING NEW VARIETIES EVERY YEAR!!!!

#1. BeefMaster and BeefSteak...**Large tomatoes**
#2. Celebrities...*I think, very good tomatoes**
#3. Sweet 1,000's..*small little tomatoes*
#4. Grape tomatoes..*very acidy tasting, I think, tiny~tiny grape sized tomatoes.
#5. Jet~Star..*early tomato
#6. Rutgers Tomatoes..*good solid growing tomato
#7. Lemon Boy...*yellow tomatoes*
#8. Roma's...*for making salsa's, very meaty*
