Hi Alan,

So where are you hiding all these lillies. I didn't think there was room for anything else in your yard. I have three ditch lillies that I got in a trade but they aren't anything but leaves yet. Hopefully I'll see a bloom sometime this year.

Joclyn: because I have so many plants, unfortunately I don't label most of them. I thought about having a journal with all the names listed, but I decided that would be too much work! The only ones I know for sure are
#1 Tom Pouce, #2 Chianti, #6 Monte Negro and #7 Cancun.

Hey Alan,

Your right journalizing is a bunch of work. I'm using my post here for most of my journal work because I find that I mention just about everything I do on here somewhere. And I always note what blooms when, where and when I planted it, and I'm even getting around to noting the scientific names as well as the common ones. Pretty soon I'll be acting like a real gardener lol. Now I've started taking out hint and tips that are time sensitive and sticking them in a seperate documents that I can keep track of so next year I have a better handle on when things need to be done. It's like Bills calendar but about my specific plants.

wow! thanks Alan those are beautiful! after looking at your pictures, I realized that you have the lily that inspired my post(a question about lilies)

the one I saw at the store was your #2...chianti.
there was only one stem and bloom, but if I plant it soon, maybe by next year, it would bush out a bit.
thanks for sharing.

i just started something in my favs folder...

a folder titled Current Plants with subfolders for all the things i currently have. the subfolders have links to info on caring for that particular item as well as general info like classification.

not a journal, per se, but it's keeping me organized a bit [Wink]

Alan I LOVE that #8 Too bad you don't know it's name. . .
What kind of things do you or anyone put around your lillys for the time while they are all leaves. I have 2 plants they didn't bloom last year until mid July and they are kind of boring in the mean time [thinker]
