Hi! I'm somewhat knew to serious gardening, so please help me.
I have 5 black eyed susans that are popping up now and each plant has a cluster of mushrooms growing among it.
i live in virginia and we have alot of clay soil. I had added alot of compost to it, the clay starts about six inches down. i am wondering if the appearance of the mushrooms implies alot of wet soil.
Am I confused? Should I be confused or just let it go and let nature run its course?

It's common for mushrooms to pop up in the garden sometimes, especially if you use mulch or compost. They don't seem to hurt anything, so you can either yet them be or simply break them off.
