Clematis suggestions for part shade?

I've got a spot beside my house (east side) with a trellis and I'm looking for a clematis to grow there. Know of any large flowered clematis that will do well in shade with morning sun? My husband would prefer it if it could be pruned low each fall, since he is concerned about it damaging our house. Thank you!

good question Flower 66 I have 2> I need to plant , the only places I can put it gets 1/2 shade morning or afternoon depending where I put it I need the question answered too!

hey Flower66 I found this fortunatley the two I have can do well in partsun/shade go here and look yours up they have 200 species and say what requirements are for your zone...
