2 1/2 years ago my husband and I bought our first house which has a huge established perennial garden from the woman who owned the house before and clearly had quite the green thumb. Neither my husband nor I have had a garden or even a yard to worry about before now and it's taken us two summers to just figure out which of the plants are probably weeds and which are not (still... there was a case of mistaken identity this spring with some gladiouses... eep!). Collectively we have killed probably a hundred house plants in our life time from neglect, but 2 summers later our gardens are still holding out despite most of our neglect.

I love the fact this site has a 'what the heck is this?' forum because I really don't have anyone to ask. Hopefully no one's going to be laughing too hard at me when I start posting pictures of dandelions and roses and asking which ones are the weeds. [grin]
