So what's it like right now where you live???? It's in the 30's here--and it was pretty cloudy all day---but at least we didn't get anymore rain.

Partly cloudy here with the rain/snow supposed to be coming in tonight and tomorrow. It is COLD outside as well but not enough to freeze anything yet.

I personally am hoping for the snow. How long have you been without the sun Loz? That drives me nuts to not have sun every once in a while.

I love the first few snows of the winter , but near the end I'm sick of it....when everything is muddy and slushy and dirty looking.
We haven't had any sunshine for at least a week..... I hate it!!!! I NEED sunshine to operate....sort of like the Energizer bunny needs batteries to keep going and going...
Oh BTW, according to the good old thermometer it's 27 degrees here right now....brrr....

I need the sun as well. I did not like CA cuz of that. Living in the valley, we would be in fog for weeks on end and I would get so depressed. SO far, we have had the sun at least every couple of days for a while and I am really enjoying the winter here.

we are ion the middle of a very inusual heat wave. its about 70 oor more during the day and it drops off a ;little at night. usually, it is cold, and windy and foggy and somtimes rain now ..... dont nkow what;s going on but it sure is nice to have so much sun. i used to live in canada and in the winters i would leave my houes fro school before the sun was out (if there was any) and school was finished after sunset - it really got to me! dont know when the weather will cool down , but until then we are enjoying the sun and playing outside and taking walks as much as possible. but a part of me feels bad - if we dont get enough rain in the winter we have a drought in the summer (no rain in the summer at all, oct - april is the rainy season)

Same with us and snow Hinda. We need a big snow pack in the mountains because our summers are normally so dry. We haven't gotton the snow pack for several years now.

Hinda have you tried to build any kind of cystern for your garden? I know there are many kinds of rain water storage systems utilized in your area. Have you looked into any of them? I am very curious to hear. Where I am the most I could manage would be rain barrels at the bottom of our rain gutters but I'm afraid to ask the land lord to do that.
