Hi I'm Sherri. Just wanted to say hello to all. Really enjoying this site, but it is killing me to listen to everyone talking about their outdoor gardens right now! It is so cold out and there is a disgusting amount of snow here! Oh well, I've been contenting myself with trying to buy as many house plants at a time that I can without my husband noticing! Anyways, I need some help identifying one of my recent purchases, I took a picture but am not really sure how to post digital images??? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, Sherry, and welcome. I'm relatively new to this gang as well. You'll get all the help you need from our experts and members plus extra bonus fun, to boot. I know you'll enjoy this place as much as I do.

Hello Catlover! SSM is the little dot in the middle where the 3 great lakes meet. It's an awesome place. A little frustrating sometimes because we're zone 4 and there are some really beautiful flowers that I just can't grow. Until I convince my husband to build me a greenhouse that is! In the past week I've managed to pick up my mystery plant, a huge english ivy(he kinda noticed that one) a massive green spider plant with tons of babies all over it, a hanging prayer plant, a blue hyacinth and a bamboo plant. It's been a very productive week! I simply could not resist the hyacinth though. Spring is still too far away!

Bill, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! I'm going to transfer the pictures from my camera to computer. Still pretty new and slow with this so it could take awhile I'll be back soon though. I hope!

Thank you Loz! I can't even think about spring yet! It seems so far away, 5 months away!! Groan But when they have such beautiful spring flowers at the grocery store it makes the wait a little less frustrating. And of course I pass the time by planning more gardens! So, I guess it's worth the wait!

Happy to see you join us - sounds like you have a great sense of humor and fun. It's way cold here too - this morning at 8a.m. it was -7F !!! So I, too, am getting cheap thrills looking at pictures online and in catalogues, magazines, etc.
I'm pretty new to posting pictures off a digital camera and am finding webshots.com a REALLY REALLY easy way to go. It's so easy to upload pictures from your computer, and FREE!!!
Have a great time here with everyone and do tell us some more about yourself?

Hello Lynne! I'll have to check out that site you mentioned because I'm clueless when it comes to posting pics. But, lizheaema promised me she'd drop by this week and help me out. What a girl!! So you're a winter wonderland dweller too? Sigh! It's so beautiful when it snows Christmas Eve and Day, but beyond that, I personally have no use for the stuff. It was -19 C this morning but with the windchill factor it came to about minus 26C. BRRRR!! My poor truck did not want to move. The one bright point of the day so far though is that I picked up a jasmine plant!!!
