Oh, what a WONDERFUL job you have done so far! You must be so proud!
What kinds of vegetables will you be growing or are growing now?

Thanks Ya'll I am kinda happy at the way its turning out

It was AWFUL when we first moved in...NO plants...No birds and WAY to much shade. I've trimmed trees(while the kids laughed at Mom in the tree ),built trellis's,added bird feeders and enclosed the side yard(veggie gardens)with a 2ft high latticework fence. It TERRIFIES George when I ask him to leave me a circular saw and drill

Right now I only have tomatos, cucumbers, bell peppers and mexican chili peppers. I've tried(and occasionally succeeded) growing all kinds of veggies, lettuce, cabbage, sweet peas, green beans, strawberries, broccoli, eggplant, spinach, carrots, garlic and onions. Georges favorite "joke" is about when I grew corn...In a mobile home community
I'll try and grow anything...I'm always looking for something new to try!
We hope to move to the country within the next five years...It will probably take me a week to move just my yard

You have a similar taste for growing vegetables that Maxi has. This was the first year his vegetable garden didn't do so well simply because our weather didn't exactly cooperate.
Usually he grows brocolli, several varities of tomatoes, leaf lettuce, carrots, radishes, beets, pumpkins, eggplant, green bell peppers, cucumbers, a fine stand of sunflowers and lots of flowers. This year the harvest was best with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and brocolli. Most everything else was disappointing for the child, but he still had much fun!
Next year I plan to be more of a help to him in the gardens because I am going to study that book I was given on Gardening with Disabilities and they had some interesting ideas for people in wheelchairs. Have any of you seen that book?
