Kept myself busy, since I got laid-off from my job. Been job hunting off/on. Getting ready to hold a Garage Sale on Sat, with my boyfriend. That's a lot of work, going through stuff, pricing, running around the nighborhood posting signs, posting notices on craigslist.
I am also getting ready to go on vacation. Heading out for the Grand Canyon for 5 days (Tue. July 27 - Sat. July 31). So, I got packing to do. AND on top of all that, my landlady is tenting the house for termites, while I am on vacation. So, I have to bag the food in the pantry and whatever is left in the fridge/freezer.

Howdy! I was just lookin' at your Webshots a few minutes ago!
Yard sale? I feel so sorry for you! But, a lot of people can handle that kind of PRESSURE! I've had 2 in my life, and ended up getting mad and throwing the stuff back in boxes and closing the sale both times! (I don't play well with others, at least that's what it said on my report card once!)
Nice to see you again! Cindy
bbbbbbbbb Buckle up! It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car!

HI Michelle!! I was just thinking of you the other day! I was listening to the fires and weather in Calif, and wondered where you where? You had kept us updated with them and hadn't heard anything from you! And was also wondering about the job *or lack of one actually, like me!*
Glad to hear you're doing OKAY and good and busy!! And looking forward to some more pictures in your Webshots' from your vacation!!!

Don't forget to be kind to strangers. For some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it. - Bible - Hebrews 13:2
I'm fairly new, so we haven't officially met yet. I was also just looking at some of your webshots albums.
Thanks for mentioning craigslist, I totally forgot about it. I am thinking of holding a yardsale this weekend (tho I'm surely not organized enough for it!), and hmmm.. advertising sure would help!

I did that last night, thanks! I had only recently heard of craigslist, and had it bookmarked, but totally forgot about it. I didn't even consider posting an ad for my yardsale.. was just gonna put up a couple signs saturday morning.

Good luck on your yard sale.......out of all the ones I've had, I end up taking a bunch of it to the charities........so now, I just do that and relieve myself of the negative energy that some of the customers can give you! Have fun on your trip, I'm sure it will be great and good luck with the job hunt.......that's what I'm doing now, and it's a pain in the ***............

Hmm.. I made $15 in 8 hours. It must be a new reverse record of some kind. *sigh* I am NOT dragging it all back out again tomorrow. I had a LOT of stuff. I so didn't want to drag it all in. I just stuffed some in the van.
And to top it off, my husband says that I'm "red as a lobster". *ow*

I just had a garage sale myself, all the money went to my son's Boy Scout camp trip...very hard work for very little to show & lots of stuff left over. I'm gonna try it again this fall & then everythings going to the Salvation Army! I got sunburned too & was extremely tired! Glad that's over!

Maybe this is an idea you can use for the boy scout troop. I did a yard sale for the American Cancer Society. It was a fund raiser for the Relay for Life. We put everything out and then made signs that said that everything was for sale for donations only. We made $88 in 4 hours. There were no price tags to be made and most people put in a couple extra dollars since it was for a good cause. We still sat out with the stuff, and you still had to explain it to people even tho the signs were out. But things went really well.
