Well I have a huge amount of hobbies but one of my favorite (don’t tell my other male friends) is working in the Garden! I am nowhere near a pro and I think I have killed or maimed more plants in my learning then I would like to say! But I still hang in there and garden away!

I have a vary stressful job so I like to do things that I don’t have to stress over so I figured gardening would be just the thing! Well I was wrong I stress over the garden quite a bit but I think working in it helps so it all comes out even. We have a 2 Acre piece of property and lots and lots of Trees everything from Live Oak, Hickory, Elm to Mimosa and the dreaded Chinaberry tree.

Like I said I have a lot of hobbies I buy and sell on eBay a lot and I collect and sell Toys! Yes I am going thru my middle age crises early! I am an Artist so I draw, Paint and Work in clay (it also comes in handy when I need to draw my garden plans and layouts. I hope I can learn some more here on the forum and hopefully raise the mortality rate on my plants!

Hello and welcome!
It's strange, it seems to be the males of my family that inherited the gardening gean. I think my great, great grandparents were farmers that might be it. I think I'm the type of person who goes though quarter life criseses so all is forgiven! I like the quote, I'm lucky enough to have two of the three in one. It'd be kind of neat to have a bath tub in my room! It would help keep the humidity up! Hope you enjoy this site as much as I've been! [thumb]

Well Jillie the Sugar Glider is in its own little (or big in this case) cage so the cat does not get near it. they really have not crossed paths so all stays well in the house.

The sugar Glider makes a great pet just requires a lot of my time.

Hello! Welcome!!

[wayey]

I, too, am fairly new to this wonderful place. The people here are soo nice and helpful. They told me what my "freak of nature" vine is that is growing on my front lattice (turns out to be a flower!!), figured out what the weird bugs are that keep coming into my house (which my 3 cats just love to hunt down and eat [nutz] ), and they have given much advice and some great conversations. Have fun while your learning, don't be afraid to ask questions (I do that ALOT!!), and have fun exploring this great place.

The sugar glider is sooooo cute!!! I want one!!! My husband would KILL me if I brought anymore animals home!!! Aparently 3 inside cats, an outside cat, and a bunny is enough!! (...don't tell him I smuggled in a new kitten last week! shhh!!! [scaredy] ) [Smile] haha...just kidding, he knows. We're taking it to his mom this weekend! LOL

Anyways...welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

Hello and welcome steelwoolghandi! [wayey] It sounds like you should fit right in to our little community. I didn't know you could have a sugar glider as a pet. What a neat animal. What's her name?

I hope you come back often and chat with us. We have all levels of gardeners and everyone is super friendly. We love to help and chat and research stuff and chat some more.... [gabby]

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
