I thought I would share some pictures of a few things I made when we first moved into the house 10 years ago. The first 2 are in my daughter's room and were really easy to do. You can even decorate them with Christmas colored flowers if you like, for the season! The 3rd one is in my kitchen. I now prefer to work with real or dried flowers, but still really like these.

Very easy crafts with
silk flowers

What did you use as a backing on the denim pocket? And how did you hang it?
Love them....and shhhh my daughter has a hat like that I might snatch and make something like that for her.....she loves stargazer lilies I will have to check it out! Thanks for the ideas! You are so creative!

Hi Catlover [kitty] ~

I didn't need to use anything as backing on the jeans pocket - just cut out the whole thing - both sides including the pants part - so it makes a whole pocket - the neat thing is that it is already stitched together so there isn't any sewing except for the hanging loop - you just cut as close to the edge of the pocket as you can - am I explaining this so you get the idea? I just added a loop of material on the top of the back to hang it. The loop is hidden by the flowers when hung.

Stargazer lillies would look beautiful on a straw hat - I grow the real ones and love them too!

Have fun! [flower]

I have been gone all day,
but I wanted to make sure I posted
that I thought "how CUTE that pocket was"
Neat idea for any age!!! Little girl to
all the way up the age scale!!!
I used to do alot with silk flowers too!!!
I made memorials for people with them.
Very pretty, sold alot, but haven't
done any of that since KIDS and MOM'S!!!
Will again though when I have hubby
make a side room for crafts...
Which it was already done.

Thanks Weezie ~

I saw one of the jeans pockets in a boutique type country store for mega bucks [Razz] , and couldn't believe what they were charging for something so simple. I never thought to make a bunch and try to sell them - they are so easy and adorable, I think!

Thanks again, Jillie ~

They were also very easy to do, and the possibilities are endless what with all the different kinds/colors of yarns, strings, threads, etc... and don't forget the beads!
Such fun! [flower] [grin] [thumb]

Jillie ~

I read on another post - about the centauria montanas, how you only have 2 paint colors - and I said that's my kinda girl! Only here, everything is turquoise and terracotta (rust) colored! [thumb] I just LOOOOVE the southwestern colors, and was so glad when last year, turquoise jewelry and clothes were all the rage. [grin] You can bet I stocked up on stuff (for myself [Big Grin] ) then!
