What do you think I have an old 3 drawer file cabinet do you think I could plant some shade loving cactus/succulents in it??? What would I paint it with so it wouldn't rust soooo fast???? Would I paint the inside as well or line it with plastic???? I don't know I need suggestions!
Do you think it is a stupid idea? Be honest Now really how many people would plant something in an old file cabinet.LOL It would be in the back yard!!!!

definitely poke then paint. if you had something to brace it with and let it "tip" over a little, that would be so cute. with some kind of trailing succulent spilling out of the top drawer going down like a cascade. different kinds of trailing cacti in each drawer...

Karen, Get some garden lights and put one on top of it like a desk lap!!! Get some statues and make stuff look like the top of an office cabinet...
I've got old bathtubs and sinks> Who's to say what is right!!!
Loz needs to dig out her lawn ornaments for the newer memebers!!! Swing that post back around for a bit!

Have your kid take picture of it and you, stand in front of it and pretend you're opening files from the cabinet, have a file in your hands with the words, "The Garden Helpers Forum" on the file!! Make sure you put a potted plant on top of it! Like a decoration! Weezie

Thanx for all the ideas! This project is definitely going to be fun! May take me awhile but when I get it done I will see if I can figure out how to send a photo!!!
This whimsical stuff is really fun.....sure hope it turns out! What I would give to be able to paint really well. I am not artistic at all!
