I have a thorn bush in my yard, and I'm not sure it's worth keeping. It doesn't have any flowers as of yet but leaves have come up. The entire thing is Covered with little tiny thorns. It also has thin leaves. Does anyone know what it is? I'll post a picture tomarrow, left my cammara at friends. Thanks, Heather

I didn't give a very good description before, sorry. I don't know anything about plants. [Embarrassed] Let's see if this helps I went to a leaf identification web site, and this is how I would describe the leaf:
Blade Shape- Ovate, Structure- Petiolate, Grouping- simple (i think), Veins- Pinnate, and Margins- Entire.
This may be a tree? [dunno] Stands about 10' high. The trunk has very few widly spaced thorns. The other branches have hair like thorns, completly covered with the little suckers. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 16 mo. old and I don't want to bother with fencing it off if it isn't going to have preety flowers, or bear fruit. [Love]

Hard to say w/o pic, but description sounds like Robinia pseudoacacia 'black locust'. They have intermittent spikes along the trunk & more finer ones on the branches.

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
