this is my second year gardening and i was wondering when i could plant some potatoes? i grew some last year but planted them to late they did not produce very much but what i got was worth the time i would like to improve on that this year. i live in southern oklahoma and we get to plant pretty early. thanks

You should have them planted by March 15th is the general rule about potatoes. Last year I got mine planted around that time, but we had way too much rain after I planted them and half of them rotted in the ground before they could even sprout. So my harvest was not as good as I had hoped for either. Good Luck!!!

I was also told by St Patrick's day. I plan to have mine in by at least that time.
I bought a hiller/furrower attachment for my Troy-bilt tiller, it should make plowing the rows much easier.

Pat..I would be interested to know how well the hiller/furrower attachment work out. My small row tiller can be adjusted to make a pretty fair furrower, with less work then using a hoe, so I am glad you mention your new attachment...I will use my small row tiller to make mine with.

I think I can also use it to dig the 'tators with as well. I have the Big tiller in the shop right now, the coil is bad in it. I should have it back soon.
