Naw, Owls and American Woodcocks start nesting in January and are often sitting on EGGS in the Snow! It really depends on the species but a lot of birds right now are just beginning to start the nesting procedure. Your little dove may be a little farther along than many.

Great shots on the camera! Wonderful for a first timer and good job up loading them to the forum. If you don't have one, get a good photo processor and manipulating program. I like Adobe Photshop Elements best. These allow you to lighten or darken pictures or areas of them, resize the pictures, crop them, sharpen the details, intensify or dampen colors, remove fuzziness and pixelation, cover up or remove unwanted elements in the picture, add watermarks, special effects, or borders to your picture. The things they can do to or for your pictures are INCREDIBLE.

actually ,i have a couple bootleg copies of photoshop, just afraid to load em on the new pc.
not really sure how winxp will react to em.

hey thorny, that camera came with an 18-55 tele lense and was $552 at buydig.com.
it had a $50 rebate and when i sent it in somehow they figured i qualified for a $100 rebate. the check has already cleared the bank.
food for thought if you ever have a few bucks and a hankering to get a digital slr
i already had a bunch of lenses and a pentax film body so it was a natural choice for me to go with pentax(and the fact that the pentax was way cheaper than any other manufacturer was offering). im really liking this camera but i have to admit ive got a lot of learning to do.

I get all my programs off bit torrent sites. I just got Adobe Lightroom to go with Elements. Just right-click on the folder BEFORE you open and install it and choose "Scan for Viruses" If it comes back Virus Free, just fire it up! If it DOESN'T work I just throw it in the Recycle bin and look for a Different torrent of the same program to try.
