I have only seen this tree bare in December. Then, in March, with buds, then these small blooms (?) and now beginning to leaf.

From the buds, I thought Tulip Tree. No tulips, so I thought Catalpa. Now, I don't have a clue.

I see many of these in my north Texas neighborhood but, no one knows what they are.
