I'd say it's an Allium,
it closely resembles my A. tuberosum "Garlic Chives".

i don't think the leaves have enough umph for agapanthus. i'll have to look at it regarding the allium. maybe [dunno] could go either way though!

Yes, society garlic is purple-my condo complex has it everywhere. P.U. !
Really gross when the gardeners cut it back and deadhead it.
There's also one with variegated leaves. Still P.U. LOL !
This picture looks like white agapanthus to me too, when the flowers are just coming out.
