I have a bleeding heart that isn't doing well. I is not real big, two long branches, and is in a five gal pot for 4 years. Should I repot to a smaller pot with fresh dirt?

i'm wondering if you have it in the house? i've never seen one grow in the house. all the one's i've ever seen have been outdoor, dappled sun plants.

No I have it in a pot outdoors unless it gets to cold then I bring it in until the cold spell passes. I noticed today it is begin to leave out, at least one branch.
