Its growing at the base of one of my pear trees. BF thought the leaves were cool, so he didn't weed wack it. Anyone know what it is?

I have that here..
Our dogs used to come home alll the time
with those cockle~burr's all over them...

I have some here in town..
I love the flowers, but after a while they
get too big...
So then I cut them, but I have a bit of space and wild area in my back 40, so I let it go.

But getting the weed~wacker isn't a bad idea!!!!

that is how burdocks start to grow. You might want to cut them down before they mature

That IS Burdock. But I'd dig it up getting as much root as possible.

its right against the tree. I don't think I could dig past the tree roots.

Just keep pulling it,
eventually if you don't let enough of the leaves grow to get nutrients, it won't be able to feed it's self enough to sustain it...
and will eventually die..
