Here is a link to a site that sells Wollemi Pines. These are the oldest trees known to be in existence. Dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. I thought some of you might like to have one.

Thank you. Yes, I will look into it. I like things like that. I grow 2 cycads for knowing their ancestors were eaten by dinosaurs. What do you know about Psilotum nudum? It's a fern-like thing that also survived from then.

I don't know anything about ancient plants. One of my friends received a Wollemi Pine as a gift for Christmas....First I had ever heard of it..I am not so good at growing things in my house, my dog likes to tip potted plants over. I would guess that this pine could be grown inside or outside. It is a pretty tree, I might order one to see how it does outside. It is definately an excellent gift for any gardener.

Australian soil is very different from ours so you might want to research the trees needs somemore before you try and order one. I don't want you all to be disappointed.

I signed up for their newsletter. So I can get as much information as I can before I try to plant one. It is such an exotic looking tree. I think I know where I want to plant it. So as soon as I fugure out what I need to do, I will order one. I will dig out a giant hole and put new soil in the area if I have to. <<smile>>
