[teacher] At exactly 12:00 Noon, on June 15th, set your sundial for 12:00 to get the most accurate time reading throughout the summer!

Hey thanks Mr. Bill...I didn't realize you had to re-set a sundial! (maybe I shouldn't have admitted that!) You are so faithful to remind us of important times...I REALLY appreciate it! [thumb]

If I had one I wouldn't have a clue as to how to set one. Do instructions come with a sundial? [Embarrassed] Seriously, what kind do you suggest: on a pedestal or on the ground for accuracy, or does it matter?

I picked my sundial up at a discount store for $10.
I carved a hole in the top of a stump so that the dial would sit flush and level on the "pedestal"

To set the time, you just turn the entire sundial until the shadow of the pointer is set at the proper hour.

Do these directions for setting a sun dial apply to all time zones? I don't have one, but I've always wanted one.
