My brother has a Serissa bonsai that seems to be infested with tiny white bugs in the soil. Anyone have any idea what they might be and the best way to get rid of them? Will a regular spray insecticide work? Thanks!

ok.. sorry back from Europe...

are the bugs in the soil causing any problems? if they are not then i would not treat.

With out seeing them hard to tell but could be root mealybug? but they tend not to be mobile. Also could be collembola but again with out more info hard to tell.
