I have a yellow trumpet vine that has grown to 10 foot tall this year. what is the proper way to prune it back, as i don't want it to exceed 10 foot next year

Hard pruning, very hard pruning, in the winter may keep it under control. I wish you luck! Trumpet Vine has about taken over all the fence lines in my housing addition and climbs trees, utility poles, garages, anything it can get its grubby little tendrils on. lol!
