I just read that Yarrow is supposed to keep termites away...anyone know anything about this?

I don't know about that, but I do know that once you plant it, you will have it FOREVER!!! I pulled up a small plant on a roadside about 10 years ago and put it in my garden. It reseeds itself VERY WELL! Not only that... the root goes all the way down to China, and if you don't get it all when trying to get rid of the plant, it will keep on growing like the Eveready Bunny! I still have pieces coming up in the original place I planted it.

Thanks for the warning. Will it spread and overtake an area or just keeping coming back in the original planting spot?

The seeds are very small and could spread to other areas if you don't deadhead right away.
