Hi everybody, I'm new here. I have a small jade plant in front of a sunny western-facing window in my home that has some white furry stuff (kind of looks like a mold) growing on the leaves. It only grows on the tops of the leaves facing the light. I have tried simply wiping it off, but it comes back. It leaves a brown "scar" on the top of the leaf where it has been growing. My plant is perfectly healthy otherwise and continues to grow.
Has anyone ever heard of this, or know how to get rid of it? Thanks a bunch!!

It is definitely mealy bug. A good insecticidal soap such as "Safer" will wipe them out after a couple of applications. Wet the plant down thourghly then reapply if needed about a week later. Hope this helps!

try a product called Foilage Pharm. I have had good luck with commercial growers controlling mealybug with it.
