Now that the tulip season is over, what do I do with the plant? Do I cut it down to the ground or do I let dry up?

No, [scaredy] do not cut them down.

Let the leaves dry down by themselves. Just plant something else around them to take up the empty space without flowers there.

If you cut them down before they're dried they won't bloom so well if at all next year. Believe me I tried that once. [tears]

If they are not perennial tulips throw them out. They will not do as well next year. Replant new ones in the fall.
