last week, i purchased a gorgeous 3ft tall variety of diffenbachia from my local nursery. since i brought it home and repotted it, it appears to be weeping. the main stalk looks to be crying, and the leaves have one or two drips on them at all times. is this normal? i'm terrified that it is unhappy, LOL, and will do anything to get it in my good graces. any info is appreciated.

is it ridiculous to answer my own post? [perplexed]
i was reading on this site that diffenbachia produce a toxic sap. is that the watery substance coming out of my plant? if so, that's one scary plant i have! [shocked]

no, it's not rediculous to answer your own post (i do it all the time, you just don't see all of them [Big Grin] [Big Grin] ) but, to answer your question, i don't think that is sap as you are thinking of it. i read something about htat one day, and i have been trying to remember what/where it was since i read your post. if it comes to me, i'll let you know!
