Hi, I bought a house that has snow-on-the-mountain in a large sloping corner(shaded). I would like to keep it there, but it is not verigated(sp) any more. It was like that when we got here. It is very healthy. Is there anyway to "fix" it??? also, I read on another Q&A board that I should not allow it to flower. To cut the long shoots off as soon as I see them. Is this correct. any advice would be great. thanks

Once a plant completely loses it variegation I don't think there's any way to get it back. If you had caught it early you could have simply removed the unvariegated foliage so the variegation would remain dominant. I've never heard that you shouldn't let it bloom...mine blooms every year and I've never had any problem, but then again mine has remained variegated.

I had the same problem with my purple variegated ajuga, but I caught it early, and pulled out the non-variegated plants to start a different patch. I still have to watch my variegated patch, because every now and then, a few regular green leaved plants will pop up.
