I have Kentucky Bluegrass sod that was put down about 8 weeks ago. During the last few weeks I noticed a lot of "straw-like" grass growing and also noticed it had "seedlings" on the ends of it. I wouldn't think this would be a bad thing but my neighbors lawns (which came from the same sod farm) are all thick and green. I have applied a starter fertilizer and mulch just like everyone else. I also have an irrigation system. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance,

Jayson

What do you mean by "straw-like" grass ??

Do you mean brown stems like dried straw?

Do you mean meadow type grasses that are made into straw??

Maybe post a pic.

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
