I have these black looking worms in my soil and lawn. What are they? They are as skinny as thread!!
Help anyone???

Welcome to the Gardener's Forum. There are many "Californios" here.

What kind of grass do you have?
Tall Fescue? St. Augustine?

Knowing the kind of grass in your lawn will narrow down the type of lawn pest.

Scroll to table 2 and click on Army Worms and Fiery Skipper to see if they are similar to the ones in your lawn.
